How we are different and how we work

WHY XCELERATOR DENTAL?

We are not your typical agency. We understand how small businesses and dental practices work and some of the key challenges you face.

Defined digital growth programs to get you more patients

Rather than you choosing which digital services you would like us to manage for your dental practice i.e. your website, or your Facebook campaigns, we have put together three packages which will cost-effectively get you more patients, based on experience and adaptation.

Our founder David has worked for over six years growing more than 130 practices and has learned through implementation and refinement, what is needed to make a practice grow, in term of new patient numbers and profitability.

Unlike many digital marketing agencies for dentists, we ask you to come on board with us on one of our three packages. After our initial chats we will be able to recommend the best approach for your practice. You then pay us a monthly fee and we work an on-going basis on growing your practice. There are no additional or individual costs for the different components within the package; for example, the cost (package depending) includes the build of your website, then a re-build every 2 and a half years.

To paint the reality of how this looks, let’s say you came to us and asked us to run your Google Ads or FB Ads for you. The base to the success of those campaigns is the conversion rate of your website and respective landing pages, so we would be reluctant to take this on if we didn’t also look at improving this on your website. We have built up a toolkit of what works for dental practices and we adapt it over time as we learn and the market and behaviours change.

Strategise around you being a ‘local business’

Many of your new patients will find you through a search engine; most of them through Google or YouTube. Google considers a ‘local business’ - which you are in the sense you have a physical location - in a very different way to other businesses and there are some specific things you need to be doing to stay ahead of your competition. More than 90% of the practices we speak to are not doing any of these things, and it’s these which are the most cost—efficient way to kick start your growth. We are talking about things such as building and cleaning up your citations, optimising your GMB profile, focussing on online reviews and reputation management.

We look after all of this for you and take it off your hands in our ESSENTIALS program. If you aren’t yet doing this, consider that 90% of your competitors also aren’t doing it, so by taking these first steps you will already be ahead.

Reflect the ‘no click’ landscape

60% of people who search on Google never leave the search results page; they never click a link or visit a website. That’s a pretty amazing figure and a change in behaviour in what has become known as the ‘no-click landscape’. However, too many dental practices - which we know as we can see this first-hand - are spending most of their digital marketing efforts on organic SEO, which is typically blog posting and back-linking. There is absolutely still a place for these, but if more than half the people searching are not going to visit your website, your primary focus should be on other elements of the search results page which are going to get you more cost-effective leads. Ask yourself; are you running paid search ads? Are you making at least one Google Post a week? Are you answering and populating Questions and Answers? Are you appearing in the ‘People Also Ask’ list? These are the kind of things we will take off your hands and focus our time respective to those areas which will have the biggest impact on your practice growth.

Can you help with remote consultation and treatment options?

There are three key areas in which you can make your practice remote and never have such solutions been more pertinent. The first and most exciting solution is remote assessments through providing a full dental health report from a photo people can upload through your website; this is an amazing way to build up a new patient list and re-engage with your current list. There are then various options to get you setup for remote initial consultations via video calls, and if you are proving orthodontic treatments then Dental Monitoring is a great option for remotely monitoring your patients.

The tools are fantastic. However, it is how you use and market these which is what is going to make you stand out. Every dentist can access these but not everyone will have a strategic and well-implemented plan. This is where we can help. These technologies may not only be new for you, but also for your patients, so getting it right and building trust is pivotal.

I've just had my website re-designed

Not a problem. The key is to ensure your website converts visitors into new patient leads, so in this situation we would start by looking into how your existing website design is performing and make a joint and informed decision from there. Having said that, we may well be able to keep the overall ‘look and feel’ if that’s what you like whilst implementing some conversion rate optimisation changes to improve performance.

You’re paying us to grow your dental practice through optimisation of your digital channels, so we will want to be sure your current site performs as well as it could before making a call. Again, there may be a balance to be had between keeping some elements and optimising others.

I want to grow my practice but simply don't have the time for this

That's exactly why we are here. Having worked exclusively with dental practices for over severn years we know how precious your time is, and also that you can't be expected to know how all this digital-stuff works and what's going to get the best results. We take as much as possible off your hands, encouraging you to step-back. We'll of course be sending and going through regular reports with you, and know that some of you will prefer to be more involved than others, which isn't a problem at all. We will work together in a way to get you the best results.

What if I have more than one practice location?

We will employ a strategy which works best across your locations. For some campaigns such as optimising Google My Business for Local SEO, we need to ensure you have separate listings for each physical location. For other campaigns such as Google Ads, there may be scale efficiencies depending on your specific circumstances which we will chat through with you.

In terms of cost, this will also depend on your setup. In general, three practice locations will be included in the costs you see on our website for most elements, but there will be additional costs for some services such as Local SEO and GMB optimisation where the work involved is multiplied. This is because Google considers each physical location a separate entity thus most of the work we do to optimise your GMB listing and build your citations will need to be done for each of your locations. We can re-purpose some content such as for Google Posts for your different location; as such we will need to charge an additional monthly cost per location which we discount at 25%. Will my website be GDPR and GDC compliant?

We will put everything in place according to our interpretation of the guidelines and the advice we have been given and trained in. We’re just not able to give you official legal advice. Whilst you are the owner of your site and therefore have to make the final call, you can rest assured we’ll set a good foundation and we’ve never been pulled up before! There are some elements of compliance for GDPR which will relate to your in-house processes on data handling which we’re unable to verify.
